A lovely old pub in a remote village - pool table etc. Nice food, reasonably priced with a log fire & great staff.
The place has a friendly atmosphere about it, great food, Sunday lunches are recommended, the team are always happy to help.
Was a nice little place to have dinner. Had some local ale on tap along with a decent selection of other beverages. Very friendly family running the place, who were very helpful. There is a carpark round the back of the place. If going with a large group it is worth phoning up to book food in advance.
Me and my family went to this pub twice on holiday. Food is lovely, and at affordable prices. Owner is extremely friendly and accommodating. Dog friendly too!
Fabulous meal from the Christmas party menu. A whole baked camembert with dough balls followed by melt in the mouth, slow cooked beef with all the trimmings. A decadent chocolate and caramel yule log to finish and Christmas pudding for Hubby. Attentive and efficient service. An absolute bargain at £30 for the 3 courses. It was so good that we're going back again next week.
Stopped here as very little else in the area. The staff and meals were absolutely stunning, lovely food which we had from the specials board. The lovely lady serving even offered to run us back to where we were staying as it was getting dark & wet.
This place exceeded our expectations! After spending an uncomfortable night at a gross hotel in Radstock where there wasn't even any soap, at the Boughton Arms we were greeted at the door by the owners and welcomed into the beautiful inn (for the same price as the gross hotel). We all loved our stay there: it was spotless, the beds were super comfy, and to top it off, the owners are absolutely lovely. Highly HIGHLY recommend the Boughton Arms and if I'm ever in England again, it's my first choice for a stay.
